This work marks Grace’s return to painting after nearly two decades. With an early foundation in high school art and years of informal experimentation, this piece represents the first entry in what will be a prolific and evolving new body of work.
Blending multiple mediums and techniques, the artist explores the tension between realism and abstraction, softness and grit — layering aerosol textures with traditional mark-making to create intersecting visual effects. The result is a surface that feels both constructed and organic, where control and spontaneity coexist.
